Maenporth Beach, with its golden sand, nearby cafe, and wide range of water activities, is the ideal destination for family beach holidays. Based near the beautiful, Cornish town of Falmouth, with its art galleries, Maritime Museum and wide range of restaurants, families can find a range of beach holiday rentals which offer access to city as well as the great outdoors!

Maenporth is not only a child friendly beach but also offers fairly good wheelchair access for the elderly and disabled, with an even surface from the nearby car park to the beach. Showers are not available but there are public toilet facilities nearby.

Several beach holiday homes and self-catering holiday rentals are located within walking distance, making it a popular destination for those seeking a holiday near the beach. Maenporth is also conveniently situated on the South West Coastal Path; a location which makes it a thriving pit stop on a classic British walking holiday.

Maenporth’s sun-soaked shores pull crowds of holiday makers to Falmouth throughout the year.

With relatively calm water, it is the ideal spot for body boarding, paddling and swimming. Maenporth beach offers idyllic views of the rolling West Country hills, and across Falmouth Bay towards Pendennis Castle. Lucky holiday-makers may also see the famous wreck of the Ben Asdale at low tide.

The bustling beach cafe, ‘Life’s a Beach’, is open year round, serving fresh crab sandwiches, ice creams and a range of hot and cold refreshments.

Just two miles away, the beautiful town of Falmouth boasts the National Maritime Museum and the 16th Century Pendennis Castle, as well as quaint local pubs and sea-food restaurants.
